Shift Key is a male contestant competing in SDOC. He was mentioned in "SDOC 1a: Welcome to the Camp!" and appeared for the first time in his entry for Episode 1, "SDOC 1a: MYSTICAL TECHNOLOGY POWERS".

Welcome to the Camp![]
Shift Key did not appear physically in Welcome to the Camp, but was mentioned in a paper presumably given to each contestant. He was placed on Team 1, later renamed to Team Sticky Soap.
MYSTICAL TECHNOLOGY POWERS[]
In his entry for 1a, SK uses some sort of power to lift himself and Screeny into the air, while instantly popping back onto the ground, with Screeny being rebooted one second later.
These powers have not been used since.

Shift Key also did not appear physically in this episode, but his name was written on his new dorm's door, along with Flippy.
BAD TIME ALERT[]
In this entry, Shift Key has an idea for dressing up. He dresses up as Sans while Flippy dresses in a costume resembling Papyrus. Before leaving, Generic Shape knocks on the door, asking for some candy. Shift Key teleports behind GS using his costume's powers (which are not his mystical technology powers) to send GS flying into the walls.
SK and Flippy then fly throughout the dorms, and perform a sneak up attack on Screeny and Sonic Shoe.
Shift Key and Flippy's Sneak Attack[]
Shift Key tells Flippy off-camera to perform a plan once they get to the Sonic-Screen duo's dorm. What Shift Key said has not been revealed. Unfortunately, Flippy wasn't paying attention, so he performed the plan from memory.
What Happened[]
Flippy sneaks into the duo's dorm. There, he rises from behind the bunk bed, and somehow creates a shed of some sort. The shed falls down, conveniently right on top of Sonic Shoe and Screeny. There, he does a somersault in mid-air and lands perfectly on the shed. Then he does a backflip and lands perfectly on the ground. He then steals their bag of candy, and comes out the door.
After Flippy did... the thing, Shift Key realizes what he did was wrong, so he gets some candy himself.

SDOC 3a[]
Why can't I think of a good storyline?[]
Like the previous 2 episodes, Shift Key does not appear in this episode.
Rock the Block![]
In this episode, the contestants are teleported to the Minecraft world. Shift Key takes on a new form in this submission. He quickly mines a single block of wood and then smashes an entire tree. He crafts a wooden axe with the wood he got. He then mines more wood for a pickaxe and sword. He then spits out a house and mines into a cave. There he mines some diamonds, travels back to the SDOC Island, and feeds Soap Bottle the diamond. They return to normal.

NOO NOT MY PURSE![]
Again, Shift Key does not appear in this episode.

This is the first one of Shift Key's entries to be in slide-show form.
He forms an alliance with Screeny and dresses up as him to sneak into the Conveniently Located Purse Shop. However, his disguise falls quite quickly, due to being flung to the shop by an unknown force.
He then dresses up as Sans again, like in 3a, and references an Undertale meme before getting flung again.
He uses a vacuum cleaner to suck up the purse, but gets himself sucked in, too.

This is the first official SDOC project to feature Shift Key.
In the files of this episode, you can find Shift Key having a short conversation with Mr. Small Block about the possibility of SDOC's creator using vector, inside of The Building. It is unknown if this is canon. He takes on another form, this time without arms.
