Any Anime+BFDI is a collection of fanfictions starring BFDI characters replacing Anime Characters.
So Far, two Anime has been BFDI-ified, Mermaid Melody and Shugo Chara.
The character's personalities remain the same. For example, Match acts slightly more of a spoiled brat than Hanon, and Rimona acts nicer than Amu. However, their personalities have a bit of the characters they replace, like Match being sort of a yandere and Rimona ignoring people.

All series in the Any Anime+BFDI collection share the same soundtrack, with the only songs in one that isn't in the other being based of songs native to the original series.
The names for about half the episodes in the first seasons are based of the names of the episodes of the original BFDI, the first episodes always having a name staring with "Take the plunge". ("Took the plunge for love" and "Take the plunge of being yourself" respectively).
Sometimes, references to each other, to the original series, and to the BFDI franchise are made.
